My apologies for the long three-week wait between updates. I could say that I’ve been busy with school and work and boyfriend (which is all true), but I have had time. I seem to have hit this rut and I’m trying to figure out where exactly I want Skyefairy to go. I promise you, I don’t plan on getting rid of the site (which I can promise because I did think about it and I didn’t like the prospect at all) but I’m still unsure on my actual plans.
See, I used to have this plan for the redesign which would make the site more interactive. But my get-up-and-go to get it done seemed to have flown away. Usually when that happens, it means it’s not something I want to do anymore. But, after thinking for a while, I do still want to do the redesign, just maybe not exactly as I had planned. I think what was nagging at me was the fact that SF would become a little less personal (ironic since much of it would help the artists communicate more, but still). The communication aspects are still all in my plan. But I’m still unsure of what/where/when/why.
In all that confusion and thought processing, I put off updating. To be honest, it’s a record. In the almost six years that SF has been alive, this has been the longest gap between updates. I’ve still never gone a month, though!
And, as you can also see, I changed the picture on the header. The layout was getting to me because it’s been up so long and, while this isn’t much of a change, it’s humoring me in the meantime.
With all of that said, onto the updates…
EDIT: Sept 7 — I’ve closed hosting until I get more time. I want to be able to focus the time I have on my main projects (skyefairy, portfolio, story) for the time being. If you already have an application pending, those are still valid. If you’re already a hostee, this doesn’t affect you (I’ll still work with you regarding your hosting and adding more sites to your existing accounts). Also note that I’ll be doing an announced hostee check in a week or so to make sure everyone is following the rules/guidelines.
I know what you mean in terms of wanting to do something but then not and whatnot. I do that a lot with a good chunk of my projects. However, I hope you don’t let it get as bad as I do. Best of luck with the changes of SF. I have to admit, I really like the headers thinner (font wise) like this than it was before. It looks a lot nicer. The new banner is cute too.
And as always, I love the new photos! You guys who take such wonderful photos make me jealous. xD
Stacey’s photos are really awesome. Great capture there! Yours as well. I really like A Walk on the Beach. The wide sky makes it look like a wallpaper. Hehe.
Good luck with your plans. Hope to see something good from you. =)
