Points System

As Skyefairy.net grows and expands, more methods for interaction are being added. Whereas before the only method was submitting works to the site, now members are able to comment. Soon, there will be a forum that members can post on.

In the past, members' ranks were only counted by number of submissions. "Weight" of a submission and commenting were not considered. As the site grows, I want to take more into consideration and create a more accurate point system. With the point system in place, there will also be more benefits connected with the point system as incentives to become active in the SF community.

Point Values
Point values for submissions were decided by determining average time and effort put into a submission. Point values for interaction were determined by relative value towards the community.

Forum Post - 1 point (forum not yet open)
Comment on Submission - 2 points
Avatar Submission* - 5 points
Stock submission* - 5 points
Poem Submission* - 6 points
Story Submission* - 7 points
Article Submission* - 7 points
Photo Submission* - 7 points
Texture submission* - 8 points
Design Submission* - 8 points
Digital Art Submission* - 9 points
Art Submission* - 9 points
Tutorial Submission* - 10 points
Submission Featured - 10 points

* submission must be accepted to gain points.
