I used to only allow kid-friendly material onto SF. However, with a growing community, more and more things are being submitted that are great but not kid-friendly. In those cases, I used to edit the submission to make it appropriate. But this isn't fair to the artist who did not intend for it to be edited. Likewise, I've implemented a simple rating system to help identify which submissions are kid friendly and which aren't. Below I've listed basic information for each rating and my guidelines for deciding what goes where. Please keep in mind that they ARE guidelines and will be judged on a case-by-case basis.
G - General 11 years old and under
This is the kid-friendly category. If it is acceptable for children, it goes here. I will allow minor language like damn, hell, and shit as long as they are not excessive.
T - Teen 12 to16 years old
This section is for preteens, young teens, and middle teens. They are allowed a little more leeway and information than kids but still not excessive material. Excessive minor language (damn, hell, and shit) go here as well as use of "bitch" and similar cuss words. References to suicide, discreet sex, or drugs are allowed if discreet. Discreet, partial nudity in images will be allowed.
A - Adult 17 years old and up
This section is for adults. Anything in the lower categories in excess will be moved here, for example excessive cuss words, gore, suicide, sex, drugs, etc. Use of "fuck" will also be moved here. Any nudity will be moved here.
